Here are some of the latest highlights from Kathy’s series of one armed iPhone photos.

A note from Kathy:Thank you for following along with me on my journey towards healing! So many of you have shared such nice comments and encouragement with me as I recover from shoulder surgery. As I now slowly ease back into my work schedule, my posts of #onearmedart will begin to taper off.  While my 12 week recuperation still has quite a ways to go, my time is beginning to become crowded with work demands…. and physical therapy.  It has been quite a long and difficult winter for many reasons, but I’ve really enjoyed the creative outlet of taking one armed photos and sharing them with you. My healing process has taught me many lessons along the way.

I hope to  continue to explore this creative path in some way…. it is true when they say that an artist never really stops working.

Thinking spring, lighter days and healing!

All My Best,

Here are some highlights of the past week’s posts from Kathy’s #onearmedart series.

Love makes the world go round, especially here at Kathy Davis Studios! We spend a lot of our time designing and writing Valentines that we hope will touch your heart and help you to express your love in just the right way.

Stay warm all this month with some of these favorite finds for February!

one
Book: True Love by Robert FulghumIn his third book, Uh-Oh, Robert Fulghum shared some of his own real-life love stories and casually suggested that if readers had their own, he would love to hear them. His mailbox was soon stuffed with thousands of incredible responses, and True Love is the result of what he received. Fulghum specially chose these stories to reflect the many faces of love, which are amusing, sentimental, and sometimes gritty, and are bound to touch the hearts of all. This book is a favorite read for me that I visit over and over again!

Faster than cupid’s flying arrow, Valentine’s Day has arrived! As designers, writers and glitter aficionados, we’re naturally big fans of the holiday at KDS. Most importantly, we all agree that what makes the day special is the chance to remind our loved ones just how much they mean to us. Here are our top ten “Joyful Signs” of this happy heart day. How about you? What are your favorite “joyful signs” of Valentine’s Day?

1.    Hearts: We love to draw them, paint them, and above all, share them!

2.    Love Notes: Even as greeting card designers, we must admit, there’s nothing quite like a heartfelt, homemade Valentine!

3.    Party Attire: Whether you’re headed to a work party or a night on the town, it’s fun to get into the spirit and wear something festive.

4.    Kids’ Crafts: Their sweet, imperfect doodles are sure to become keepsakes we treasure.

5.    Conversation Hearts: The perfect Valentine’s Day icebreaker.

6.    Confection Affection: Such a nice way to say, “I think you’re sweet.”

7.    Timeless Love: There’s no age limit to Valentine’s Day. It’s nice to remember those special Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and other important sweethearts in our lives, too!

8.    Sweet Sips: A splash of this…a twist of that… who doesn’t like a good love potion?

9.    Meals from the Heart: It’s easy to make any Valentine’s Day dinner memorable when you put a little love into it.

10.    Kisses: Either Hershey’s or the real deal, Valentine’s Day hardly    seems complete without a little kiss!
