Last week I was honored to be a part of the Sunshine Foundation’s 35th Anniversary Celebration held at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Founded by former policeman, Bill Sample, the foundation has granted over 36,000 wishes to chronically ill and physically handicapped children and their families.

(Me with Bill Sample)
I was asked to design a print that was beautifully framed and presented to donors who help make these dreams possible.

It was wonderful to meet some of the families who have received dreams from the foundation, and a moving experience to watch two children being granted their wishes to visit Disney World and stay at Sunshine’s Dream Village.

St. Christopher’s Hospital was the perfect spot for the celebration. It was here back in the early 70’s that the children who frequented the hospital for their medical treatments touched the former policeman and inspired his quest to make their dreams come true.
