Ambrosia is a delicious mixture of warm reds and cool greens in patterns to delight the eye! Rings of roses, bouquets of berries, and vines laden with hearts come together with joyful sentiments to create an enduring sense of style. Inspired by the evergreen appeal of the rose and all that it represents…beauty, love, joy and timeless tradition, Ambrosia touches the heart and celebrates the soul.
Enjoy this short slideshow and look for Ambrosia in stores now.

Just had to show off this sweet little bird I received as a gift from the
talented Tina Benevides, Vice President of Creative at American Greetings
(and a heck of a nice person, to boot!).
Tina located fabric from my Journeys collection by Westminster Free Spirit
to sew and stuff this perky critter for me! She knows how much I love my
birds... and this little guy easily won my heart.
I especially love how the word "beauty" lines up along the wing... and his
little stitched black eyes follow my every move! Thank you, Tina, for your
talent and for your thoughtfulness.

This collection has a perfect color combo for holiday application without being limited to the season. From playful patterns to sophisticated scatters, Ambrosia offers something for the most discernable palate with its pleasing combination of fabric options.
Ambrosia has started popping up in a few online stores. So far, you can find it at Lola Pink and Erica's online fabric store.
Hope you like it! We'll be showing you the full collection very, very soon!

I would like to thank the very talented Lynne Farris and Vivian Peritts for designing these amazing bags out of my Journeys Fabric for Free Spirit Fabrics!
"The Bucket Bag pattern is a stylish new twist on the plain old purse. It has stiff sides so it can keep its bucket shape, and it has pretty flower and yo-yo embellishments! This pattern also includes instructions for a clutch." The Bucket Bag Pattern is available at Quiltwoman.com
Please send me pictures of your Bucket Bag in my Journeys Fabric Collection and I will feature your creations here on my blog!

Hi, Stephanie Ryan here. I am Kathy's brand designer and "patternista". What is a "patternista"? It is a person who is obsessed with creating patterns for fabric and any other product I can get my hands on!
Welcome to our Creative Space, a place to play and explore our creative sides by coming up with fun projects using Kathy's art and fabric. I will be searching the internet, books and magazines for easy craft projects to share with you. The idea is to just play, to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. You don't have to be a craft expert to explore your creative side - just a willingness to have some fun. You may discover your inner artist in the process!
I found today's project in Martha Stewart Living's August 2010 issue. It is fast, easy and fun and looks great with Kathy's Journeys Collection.
Our own Melissa Schulz was kind enough to model for us.
Fun Fabric Braids

How-To
- Rip your choice of Journeys fabric into 1-inch wide strips.
- Knot ends of 3 strips and braid.
- When you get to the end of the braid, hand-stitch additional fabric strips onto the first 3 strips. Try staggering the stitch to disguise the seam.
- Continue braiding to the desired length and knot.
- Knot ends together and make a loop.
