Kathy Davis has always loved art. Having a career in a creative field has been a life-long dream. As a child, Kathy enjoyed making all sorts of things. She still has an early set of her own brand of paper dolls as well as stories she wrote and illustrated. An entrepreneur from an early age, she and a friend started a "business" making and selling perfume to friends and neighbors, while only in the second grade.

All through school, art class was her favorite. She decided to pursue an education degree with an emphasis on art. She spent ten years as a teacher of Art and English with students from all ages from kindergarten to adults. Inspired by her students' work, she decided it was time to test her own "creative wings." After taking a break from teaching for motherhood, she continued her study of painting, calligraphy and design.

Beginning her own company in 1990, Kathy launched several lines of greeting cards with various publishers. Her ability to scatter joy by using expressive art and thoughtful sentiment has captured today’s consumer. Starting out with a small drawing table in the corner of her bedroom, she has grown to become one of the industry's most respected talents.

"I am Woman, I am Invincible, I am Tired" is one of Kathy's most popular designs. As a mother, designer, entrepreneur and author, Kathy may get tired, but she never seems to slow down. A favorite quote of hers, "The sky's the limit when your heart's in it" speaks to her success. Kathy loves nature, and many of her designs reflect her favorite subjects of sunshine, flowers and animals. Her style is distinctive and her message is always uplifting. Inspiration and humor often find their way into the original verse and quotations that adorn her creations. Featuring soft watercolors to bold graphics, Kathy's images make people feel good. Her understanding of people and their need to communicate feelings makes writing greeting cards a natural "labor of love" for her.

A native of the Philadelphia area, Kathy graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School, where she later taught art. She went on to receive an Elementary Education degree from West Chester University and a Masters degree in Art Education from Kutztown University. She lives in Horsham, PA with her family and a menagerie of pets.
