We recently were in contact with the ladies from the blog “see how we sew”. They have a great project for a roll up brush case made out of laminated cotton. I am dying to try this with Kathy’s laminated cotton from her Happiness collection. I thought it would be a great thing to share with you and would love for you to share with us your results! I will try to fashion one of these soon and when I do, you will be some of the first to see it!

(These bedding sketches are just a tease of what's to come!)
Starting tomorrow, we plan to add a new feature to our Facebook page called “A question from Kathy.” We want YOU to help us make some decisions about creative development and marketing since YOU are the real experts…and the ones we aim to please! You will see a question from me every couple of weeks. Some weeks the question may be about greeting cards, or other weeks you may help us decide which patterns you’d like to see on bedding, or which new products you’d like to see in our online store. Please join us as a “creative director” for the Kathy Davis brand!
I can’t wait to see your comments, and I thank you in advance for your good taste, creative input and guidance!
Stay tuned!

Wishes for your Baby Girl
May she find happiness and beauty in the simplest pleasures.
May she grow each and every day in sunshine and love.
May she follow her dreams past the rainbows end.
May she share her gifts with the world around her.
May your new baby girl know every joy
as she fills your life with love.
Our gallery curator Maureen Flynn has been collecting silly junk email names over the past few years and we decided to put them to good use. For the upcoming group show "Who Dat???", each artist chose a name from the list and created a portrait of that person. It will definitely be an interesting and eclectic group of artwork!
Join us in the KDS Gallery next Friday January 27th from 5pm until 7pm.

At Kathy Davis Studios, we not only design greeting cards (among other things), but we are enthusiastic consumers of them and truly respect and appreciate the work that all of our fine competitors produce!
We recently asked everyone at KDS to bring in their favorite cards they either purchased or received over the holiday season. Pinning them to my tack wall, we polled our troops about their favorites and thought you’d enjoy seeing the winners!
Here are all of the beautiful cards we assembled:

We also had some lovely envelopes on display! I really appreciate the special touches some people add with their hand-lettering and decoration. The red envelope with beautiful script by Brenda Walton was the winner in this category!

Hope you enjoyed our little retrospective survey.
And please keep sending those Christmas cards!!! We thank you!
